The Idea
A clear look at what actually kills us. Almost none of it is what we fear.
We are scared of the rare stuff. The crash, the shark, the attacker on the news. The things that actually end us are quiet, ordinary, and we barely look at them. Mortality Index is a place to look. Eighty pages on how people really die, all real data, every number cited.
Why the Studio Built It
No one hires you to explain how people die. We made it anyway.
Most things only confuse us because no one bothered to make them clear. So we took the scariest, dullest, most avoided numbers there are, and made them easy to face.
That is the strange thing about fear. It lives in the not-looking. Turn and look at it straight on, and it gets smaller.
We fear the wrong things. So do companies. Helping them look is the job.
The Point
Fear only lasts as long as you look away.
