Jordan Kapper, MD Jordan approached me with an exciting opportunity to undertake an identity design project for his innovative startup “Lantern Light.” The objective of his enterprise is to guide individuals toward intelligent investments in storage space.
Jordan expressed his desire to work with us and we were thrilled to oblige. Our collaboration began with the deconstruction of “Lantern Light” to extract its essence.
We distilled it into three crucial ideas:
Firstly, a lantern is a guiding light through a cave.
Secondly, a lighthouse lantern to guide boats back home.
And thirdly, light itself is a beacon illuminating the path ahead. Rather than directly incorporating a lantern into the identity, we considered showcasing its impact.
Our consideration centered around the query of how light appears. This was a clear winner upon presenting our initial concept to the partners.

Fractional CMO services occupy a unique space in the market. They’re not consultants offering advice from the sidelines, and they’re not agencies executing tactics without strategic context. CMOspot needed a brand that communicated this distinction: leadership that’s embedded, not external. Strategy that’s actionable, not theoretical.
The existing landscape of marketing consultancies leans heavily on corporate clichés: handshakes, upward arrows, generic blue palettes. CMOspot needed to stand apart as modern, dynamic, and undeniably premium.
We began with extensive discovery sessions to understand not just what CMOspot does, but how their clients feel when they finally have senior marketing leadership in their corner. The recurring theme: rotation. The ability to dial up when growth demands it, dial back when efficiency matters, and always keep moving forward.
This insight became our creative foundation.
The CMOspot symbol is a dimensional torus, a continuous, flowing ring that represents the scalable nature of fractional leadership. It rotates and adapts. It expands when you need more, contracts when you need less, but never stops moving. The gradient shifts from deep violet through electric purple to cyan, conveying both depth of expertise and forward energy.
The three-dimensional quality isn’t decorative. It speaks to perspective and the elevated vantage point a fractional CMO brings to an organization. What appears as a simple circle reveals complexity and dimension when you look closer. That’s the CMOspot value proposition, visualized.
A brand identity that positions CMOspot as the premium choice in fractional marketing leadership. The visual system scales effortlessly from LinkedIn presence to boardroom presentations, while the strategic foundation ensures every touchpoint reinforces their market position.
CMOspot now has the brand infrastructure to match the caliber of leadership they deliver.
